Welcome one, Welcome all! to the magnificent… board game, of… square—looking—ness, … , TILE GAMMEEEE!

The game is astoundingly simple. First blue places a tile. Then red, then blue again, then red, then blue, and so on and so forth.

There is only one catch to this magnificently simple turn-taking! Blue wishes to leave the final board looking nearly as tile-less and pasty as it started! But red wishes to fill this bland board completely with wonderful, sparkling tiles!

Turns cannot be skipped! The game only ends when no tiles can be placed! Albeit the players can agree to forgo the remainder of a rather completed game, choosing to let the board thoughtlessly fill itself.

That’s the game! All of it! Simple, right? And yet, the more you play, the more you realize, it is more than just placing silly little blocks of… blockiness! It is forming a wall to prevent your opponent’s escape. Creating sharp edges of ruthless siege! Predicting the future to create a cascade of despair! Accepting a region’s demise, and starting anew in a different land!
